Elena Popova started experimenting with mixing different media within the borders of the scenography context while studying Time-based design, in the  Minerva Art Academy in Groningen, the Netherlands. She has worked for dance companies and created autonomous works herself.

Currently she is based in Berlin, where she is working on Opera, Dance, site- specific performance and text theatre. 

In her search for aesthetic and conceptual unity, she researches and combines the multicultural, ambivalent perceptions of the stage art and tries to create a storytelling within her stages and costumes which can support and enrich tha play and the directors vision.
